Garlic is traditionally used to reduce blood pressure.

Overview

Garlic is one of the most efficient natural resources for our health since it possesses the highest number of scientifically-proven properties. Its main active ingredients are organosulfur derivatives.

Therapeutic indications and uses

Allyl polysulfide, one of the components found in garlic, provides elasticity to all blood vessels, increases arterial and capillary volume by relaxing muscle fibers, provokes vasodilation and thus reduces blood pressure. Sulfur, which is an extremely important component, prevents the appearance of calcium and cholesterol deposits, thus improving the elasticity of arterial tissue.
